The Queen of Hearts

Chapter ten

When Madison stepped out of the shower, he felt a lot better. The water had helped to wash away the memories of the rape, though he was still hurting.

He padded on bare feet down the wood panelled hallway, looking for Zach. He eventually found him sitting in the garden in a lawn chair, smoking a cigarette.

The garden was huge. When he stepped out of the house, he found his feet on cold, concrete paving. There was a tiled area for lawn furniture, then a large section of grass surrounded with beautiful flowers. In the middle of the grass was a big pool, covered up for the winter weather.

Zach didn’t look round as he stepped out of the house, just stared out into the garden, taking a drag of his cigarette. Madison moved over to him slowly, perching on the edge of one of the other chairs, shivering at the coldness of the night.

Eventually, the blond turned to look at him, frowning slightly.

“What are you doing out here? You’ll freeze to death,” he scolded and Madison just looked away, down at the ground.

“There’s something wrong, isn’t there?” the boy asked and Zach just sighed.

When the man didn’t answer, Madison shifted forwards. “Can I have a cigarette?”

“Sure.”

Zach offered the boy the packet, and then lit his cigarette for him, blue eyes watching him as he sat back in the chair, crossing one leg over the other. Madison took a drag and then inhaled slowly, the cigarette a nice relief in his hard day.

“I’ve been smoking since I was twelve,” he said finally, taking another puff of the cigarette. “I keep trying to give up, but I just can’t. it’s one of the only things I enjoy.”

“Yeah,” Zach agreed, “It’s nice to sit out here after a hard day and relax with a smoke and a beer.”

Madison smiled wryly. “I’m not old enough to drink.”

The two fell silent for some time, each sitting with their smokes until the blond finally rose from his chair, moving to stand before Madison.

“I can’t see you anymore, Madison.”

The boy looked up in shock, a hint of hurt in his dark, grey eyes. “What do you mean?”

Zach shook his head, dropping his cigarette onto the ground and grinding it out with his heel. It was really hard for him to even think about saying what he was about to, but he knew he had to do it, for Madison’s sake. He slipped his hand beneath the boy’s chin, tilting his head up.

“I’m falling in love with you.”

A look of surprise passed through the boy’s beautiful, dark eyes and Zach swallowed, unsure if he could continue. “I lie awake thinking about you…I want so much to be with you…but I can’t. For a start, I’m ten years older than you…then there’s the whole differences in job and lifestyle…and then…” He knew he was rambling, but he couldn’t stop. “I keep thinking about all the things I want to do to you, but it makes me feel wrong. Knowing what you do, how much you must hate it, it makes me think that you wouldn’t even dream of it outside work. But I can’t stop it, I can’t stop thinking about you.”

Madison was silent, stunned at the man’s speech. Truth be told, he had been denying his own feelings about him. Not many people, beyond his close friends, were ever nice to him, and Zach had come along, going out of his way to help, even paying for his best friend’s funeral when he barely knew him. He never asked for anything in return, just seemed thankful that Madison even wanted to talk to him.

The blond was certainly very attractive, and age wasn’t an issue. The thing that kept Madison back was his job, his lifestyle, finding it hard to comprehend why the man would be interested in him knowing what he did for a living.

“Why?” he whispered finally, looking up into Zach’s expressive, blue eyes. “Why would you want me when you can have anyone?”

The detective released Madison and turned away. “I don’t want just anyone, I want you, Madison, but I can’t…I just can’t.”

There was a pause before the boy got to his feet, dropping his cigarette on the ground. A moment later, he stepped forward, approaching Zach who stood with his back to him, then sliding his arms around the man’s waist. He rested his forehead on the other’s back.

“I can’t even begin…to thank you for all you’ve done for me. With Jamie’s funeral…he would have ended up being buried in a cheap, wooden coffin if it weren’t for you. I’ve never had anyone who barely knew me…who care about me so much.”

“I can’t do this, Madison,” Zach said softly, but his hand moved to cover one of the boy’s, his thumb brushing over the impossibly soft skin. “I don’t want to take advantage of you.”

The dark haired boy sighed. “You’re the first person in a long time who hasn’t taken advantage of me.”

Zach turned in Madison’s arms until he was facing him, looking down into the boy’s face for a few moments before he cupped his cheek with one hand, leaning down so their lips almost touched.

“You’re so beautiful, Madison,” he whispered, slipping his free hand around the boy’s back. “I’ve never met anyone like you.”

“I’ve never met anyone like you either.”

Zach gave in. He crossed the last hurdle between him and Madison and pressed his lips down onto the other’s as he slid his hand round to the back of the boy’s neck. It was a slow, tender kiss, one that didn’t push, didn’t demand, gave Madison plenty of room to say no, but he didn’t.

When they pulled apart, Madison looked up at Zach from beneath his lashes, running his tongue slowly over his bottom lip. It had been a long time since anyone had kissed him like that.

“Let’s go inside,” the blond finally whispered, “It’s cold out here.”

He took Madison’s hand, leading him into the house where he pushed him to the wall, capturing his lips once more. He expected the boy to react, to push him away, but he just slid arms around his neck, tilting his head and parting his lips to deepen the kiss.

“I shouldn’t do this,” Zach told the boy, leaning his forehead against the other’s. “This is wrong…”

“Why?”

The blond blinked. Why? He hadn’t expected to hear that. All that time he had thought it was so wrong, that he was pushing Madison, but he didn’t think that perhaps the boy wanted him to.

“Why is it wrong?”

Zach didn’t have to think anymore. He just swept Madison up into his arms, carrying him out of the room and into the hall. The boy was as light as a feather, another reminder to how little he was eating, but that thought was pushed out of his head as he took Madison up the stairs and along to his bedroom.

He lay the boy on his bed before perching on the end, leaning over Madison to kiss him again, feeling fingers tangle in his hair. He couldn’t resist rolling the other onto his back and moving to straddle him, their kisses growing more passionate, more fevered as he rubbed their groins together, sparking friction between them.

Madison moaned as Zach began to press kisses along his neck, latching onto a particularly sensitive spot. It was beautiful…he didn’t even feel like a whore with the man, he just felt like a normal person, someone who was loved.

After a long while spent kissing, the blond drew back, kneeling alongside Madison as his hands moved to undo the belt on the robe. He’d seen the boy in just his underpants before, but he felt like he was seeing him for the first time, slowly revealing his skin as he pushed back the robe. He trailed his fingers down the too slender chest, down the smooth stomach to tease the skin around the boy’s navel.

“God…you’re so beautiful,” Zach breathed, parting the gown further and frowning at the dark bruises marring Madison’s hips. It only sought to remind him that the boy had been raped scant hours before.

He ran his hands over the bruises before lowering his head to press soft kisses along the marred flesh, drawing soft moans from Madison.

“I hate that men do this to you,” Zach whispered, stroking the inside of Madison’s thigh as he pressed kisses along the outside. “That they can leave bruises like this, marks on your body.”

“I have to let them…do what they want.”

“Why?” The blond encouraged Madison to sit up with gentle hands then slipped onto the bed behind him. The robe was caught around the boy’s upper arms and he bent down to kiss the bared shoulder, making his way along until he noticed the bite mark.

“Did he do this to you?” He asked, brushing gentle fingers over the mark, hearing the soft hiss from the other.

“Yes.”

Zach crossed to the other side of the boy’s pale neck and, picking a spot between neck and shoulder, pressed a kiss to the skin. The kiss soon turned deeper, making Madison shiver as the man marked him, leaving a prominent love bite for anyone to see.

“Why do you have to do this?” The blond asked as he shifted closer to Madison, pressing his groin against the boy’s backside. He stopped when he heard the gasp of pain, remembering that the rapist had hurt and torn him. They weren’t going to get very far that night- he wouldn’t hurt Madison more than he had already been hurt.

“If it’s an issue of money,” he continued, sliding his hands down the boy’s chest, “I have more than enough…enough so that you’ll never have to work on the street again.”

Madison gave a soft moan as the man’s fingers found his nipples, teasing them gently. “No…I can’t rely on you…to pay for everything. And it’s not just money…what about…ah…Alysia and Rob…and Maddox, he would never let me leave.”

“You don’t have to worry about them,” Zach told him, shifting to grab a tube from the nightstand. He squeezed a little lube onto his fingers before he reached to wrap his hand around Madison’s hard cock. “Worry about yourself. Think about…what you want for a change.”

“Oh…Zach…”

Madison let his head drop back against the man’s shoulder, eyes sliding closed as the hand pumped him slowly. No one ever took time to give him his pleasure, not when he could be giving it to them. It felt so good, so right.

“I love the noises you make,” the man whispered, nuzzling at the side of the boy’s head before tracing his tongue along the outer shell of his ear. “Do you make these noises for your clients?”

“No,” Madison panted, “They…never make me feel good.”

“I want to make you feel good.”

Zach teased the boy’s nipples with his free hand, tugging gently on the piercing, pulling soft moans from the other.

“What…what about you?”

“It doesn’t matter,” the blond told him, pressing a kiss over the love bite he’d created on the pale skin. “This is for you.”

“Oh please…Zach,” Madison moaned as the man began to pump him a little faster. He couldn’t believe how good it felt, to have someone so focused on giving him pleasure without taking any of their own. The man’s hand was slow and utterly delicious- it felt better than anything he’d felt in a long time.

“What do you want, Madison?”

The boy moaned again, raising his hand to tangle in Zach’s hair, tilting his head back and to one side so he could seek out the man’s lips.

He couldn’t believe he was there, scant hours after being raped, with a cop that had locked him in a cell for prostitution. It was such a tender moment, something so foreign, so passionate it almost hurt.

“Oh please…please Zach.”

“Tell me what you want,” Zach insisted, grasping Madison’s chin so he could kiss him again, long and slow.

“Faster…please,” the boy panted, his eyes fluttering closed as the blond squeezed him. Zach gave him exactly what he wanted, increasing the pace of his stroking, revelling in the almost constant moans he earned.

Madison felt overwhelmed, lost in the sensation and emotion of the moment. He could feel his orgasm nearing and he tightened his fingers in Zach’s blond hair, moaning and gasping as the man pumped him. It was only a moment later when he lost it, falling over the edge with a guttural cry, his body arching back against Zach’s as he released over the man’s hand.

He panted as he came down from his pleasure, his head lolling back against the blond’s shoulder, his arms fallen limply by his sides.

Zach chuckled by the boy’s ear, pressing a gentle kiss to his neck before he raised his hand to his mouth, licking Madison’s essence from his fingers.

“I want you to sleep now, Madison,” he said softly, moving out from behind the boy and gently pushing him down to curl up on his side.

“What about you?” Madison asked, grey eyes looking to Zach, but the man just smiled. The boy looked exhausted, drained of energy after his powerful climax, weary from the events of the night.

“Sleep…I’ll be fine.”

It didn’t take much encouragement to get Madison to relax against the bed and Zach moved to pull the duvet up over him. He bent to place a gentle kiss on the boy’s forehead before he rose, glancing back once before he left the room.

The blond headed straight for the bathroom, where he immediately released his aching cock with a groan, leaning back against the door as he began stroking himself.

Madison was the only thing on his mind as he pleasured himself, picturing how the boy looked while lost in passion. It was the boy’s face he pictured as he finally found his release with a soft cry, spilling over his hand and onto the floor.

He cleaned up quickly, and by the time he went back to the bedroom, Madison was sound asleep.

Zach climbed onto the bed behind the boy, shifting up to press along his back and wrapping his arms around the slender frame. Madison moaned softly in his sleep, pressing back into the touch and Zach just smiled.

He was on the way to winning Madison’s heart, he just knew it.
